How to make Keto Thandai for Holi-Keto drink recipes
Thandai is a delightful drink made of nuts and aromatic spices that is popular during the Holi festival in India. Authentic thandai is made with cashew nuts, melon seeds, rose petals and milk, all of which unfortunately are high in carbs. This recipe is optimized for the keto diet and tastes amazing!

Ingredients
Thandai powder
For 1 serving of Thandai drink
Instructions

In a grinder jar add roasted almonds, roasted pistachios, poppy seeds, green cardamom, black peppercorns, a pinch of nutmeg and some salt

Grind this to a fine powder

This powder can be stored in an air tight container in the refrigerator for 7-10 days
This recipe should give you 5 tbsp. of powder which should give you 5 servings of thandai. -
To make one serving of thandai, add 1 tbsp. of the thandai powder in a blender jar

Add raw coconut
You can use fresh or frozen coconut -
Add any keto sweetener of your choice

Add 1/2 cup of water

Blend very well

Strain through a muslin cloth

Rinse out the blender jar with another 1/2 cup of water

Squeeze the muslin cloth to remove as much liquid as possible

Add a drop of rose essence to the drink
Thandai recipes usually have rose petals. Since rose petals are high in carbs we are substituting with rose essence instead -
