How to make Keto shrimp steamed in mustard sauce-Bhaapa Chingri
This is a Bengali style prawn/shrimp preparation that fits seamlessly in your keto diet plan. Shrimp/Prawn are steamed in a flavorful sauce made of mustard seeds, poppy seeds and fresh coconut. The use of mustard oil in the recipe makes it taste vibrant and delicious!

Soak mustard seeds and poppy seeds in a quarter cup of water for 10 min at least

Clean and devein the prawns/shrimp

Sprinkle some turmeric powder and salt and set aside

Grind the mustard seeds and poppy seeds
in water till it forms a fine paste -
Add grated coconut, 1 green chilli, turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder and salt to the same grinder jar

Add enough water to grind to fine paste (I added 1/2 cup)

Transfer the shrimp/prawn to a metal dish (with a fitting lid). Add the paste to the shrimp/prawn

Add 2 tbsp. of mustard oil and mix well with the prawn/shrimp and add green chillies (to taste)

Steam the prawn/shrimp for 12-15 min

Garnish with another tbsp. of mustard oil and green chillies
