How to make Keto Pakora

Description

Lupin flour tastes a lot like chickpea flour or besan that is commonly used to make vegetable pakoras. These keto pakoras turn out crisp and delicious and will satisfy your cravings for onion pakoras.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons Lupin flour
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (shredded or powdered)
  • 20 grams Onion (chopped small)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • coriander powder (a pinch)
  • garam masala powder (a pinch)
  • red chilli powder (a pinch)
  • garlic powder (a pinch)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon Nigella seeds (Kalonji)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 cups Oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
  1. Lupin flour tastes a lot like chickpea flour or besan which is commonly used in making pakoras

    Do not swap lupin flour with almond flour or Coconut flour. They don't hold up shape. You can use flax seed flour instead of lupin flour
  2. Combine lupin flour and shredded parmesan cheese in a bowl

  3. Powdered parmesan cheese would be even better
  4. Break up the parmesan cheese and mix it well with the lupin flour

  5. Add onion

    Chop the onion in small pieces so the pakoras dont easily break up while frying
  6. Add a pinch of salt and mix

    Parmesan cheese is salty so dont add too much salt
  7. Add finely chopped coriander leaves

  8. Add a pinch of coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, garlic powder, cumin seeds and nigella seeds (kalonji)

  9. Add water so the batter feels sticky

    ~1 tbsp. water should be enough
  10. The dough should hold shape when pressed down in between your fingers

  11. You can make 6-7 small balls 

  12. Fry in hot oil

    Let the balls on one side turn golden brown till you turn them
  13. The pakoras should be golden brown and crisp in less than 2 min!
