Ingredients
Instructions
-
Lupin flour tastes a lot like chickpea flour or besan which is commonly used in making pakoras
Do not swap lupin flour with almond flour or Coconut flour. They don't hold up shape. You can use flax seed flour instead of lupin flour -
Combine lupin flour and shredded parmesan cheese in a bowl
-
Powdered parmesan cheese would be even better
-
Break up the parmesan cheese and mix it well with the lupin flour
-
Add onion
Chop the onion in small pieces so the pakoras dont easily break up while frying -
Add a pinch of salt and mix
Parmesan cheese is salty so dont add too much salt -
Add finely chopped coriander leaves
-
Add a pinch of coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, garlic powder, cumin seeds and nigella seeds (kalonji)
-
Add water so the batter feels sticky
~1 tbsp. water should be enough -
The dough should hold shape when pressed down in between your fingers
-
You can make 6-7 small balls
-
Fry in hot oil
Let the balls on one side turn golden brown till you turn them -
The pakoras should be golden brown and crisp in less than 2 min!
