Masala Soda is cooling non alcoholic summer drink that is made with an aromatic spice mix called jaljeera. Jaljeera has ingredients that are cooling and help in digestion as well. Here I will show you how to make a keto masala soda and a homemade jaljeera powder.

Making Jaljeera Powder

Dry roast cumin seeds till they turn dark brown and aromatic. It should approximately take 1 min or so

Once the cumin seeds have cooled down, add them to a grinder jar along with the rest of the ingredients mentioned above

Grind to a fine powder

This powder can be stored for months in an air tight container
Jaljeera normally has mango powder for tartness and dried mint powder. We will substitute with lime juice and fresh mint leaves while making Masala soda

Add some sparkling water or soda water add any keto sweetener of your choice. I prefer the erythritol/monk fruit sweetener

Add jaljeera powder, some fresh lime juice and stir well till the sweetener dissolves
