Description

Almond Halwa is a quick keto dessert that you can make with almond flour! Ghee, saffron and cardamom powder makes the Halwa beautifully fragrant and delicious!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Almond flour
  • 1 cup Almond milk (unsweetened)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Erythritol/monk fruit sweetener
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • Salt (a pinch)
  • Saffron or Kesar (a pinch)
  • 1 teaspoon Almonds (slivered)
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
Instructions
  1. Set a non stick pot on medium heat and add ghee

  2. Once the ghee melts add almond flour

  3. Roast the almond flour until it turns golden brown. This should take ~2 min

  4. Add salt and a keto sweetener of your choice

  5. Add 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk. You can substitute with coconut milk or water

  6. Add a pinch of saffron or kesar and green cardamom powder

  7. Stir the mixture till it turns thick. It should take ~5 min

  8. Garnish with slivered almonds and saffron 

  9. You can enjoy this warm or chilled
